This megalitic monument dates from the third millenniul BC.It was a collective tomb, and consisted originally of two rougly parrallel rows of upright stones with flat slabs.
It is reckoned to be one of the longest gallery graves in Brittany, 18 metres long by an avecrage of 1.2 metres wide.It is built of metadolerite from Beffou.
Nine of the roofing slabs are still visible, as are ten of the northerm side and six on the south. It runs north-west to south-east, and a block at right angles to the south-west upright suggests that the entrance was at the south-west.
This gallery grave still guards all its secrets, as it is being held in reserve for research by later and hopefully more esperience archaelogists. However its wild and mysterious-looking gives it great mystical and poetic power.
